This is a fantastic direction. Mass Effect should be more Final Fantasy from the stand point of creating stand alone stories.
I wish this was also the case with Gears of War. Keep and build on what's great, but push in new directions and explore new territories. Do so without compromising the pedigree of the games brand.
Wow, short sighted much gamers? This article asks and answers some question most have not thought about. Let me add to its insightful nature & premise.
With all the studios, and deals Microsoft has in place with both major developers & indies. Why wouldn't Microsoft simply have some games created exclusively for the PC that don't make their way to the Xbox One?
That way they have a diverse first party ecosystem on both platforms where both hav...
Gamingbolt tends to get caught with their pants down. They don't mind being exposed.
This article would make sense and offer their site credibility if every PS4 game was 1080p/60fps. It doesn't therefore Gamingbolt looks crazy. They don't care. They just want to post on N4g.
1080P is not even the norm on the PS4. Why does this article exist?
The sacrifice that both consoles make to reach this so-called holy grail of performance comes at a price. In fact I'd say that a studio like Turn 10 has proven they have the best technical ability to achieve it across both consoles. Forza 5 and 6 are solid 1080p 60fps games.
Many PS4 titles hit 1080p and suffer from unstable frame rate issues that never lock in 60fps. The games usually di...
That's the rub. There has been a huge amount of variety in genre's, as well as games for the Xbox 360 and now the Xbox One. So folks like @breakpad need to stop living in denial.
Here's something to consider from a competition stand point. Maybe, just maybe, this is the season where the PS4 growth starts to slow. So instead of the Xbox One catching up, the PS4 gets stagnant. That I believe is far worse than the Xbox One catching up in sales. That would imply that ...
Well considering he's already kicked out the door of Konami. Everyone should be on pins, and needles to see if the master of convolution will end his trademark. Kojima's Metal Gear story is something I try not to think about unless I'm playing a title. My hope is more that we have a satisfactory ending, but I don't know how cohesive, or complete it will be. Can't wait to see if Solid Snake and Big Boss go at it.
Halo 5 is going to be Orca big. Strong campaign, a well loved multiplayer beta last year gave credence that once done, we could be looking at one of Esports richest games for players, and leagues. This is going to help grow the Xbox One user base in a huge way.
This is how you create an article. Have a POV, establish your premise, and deliver your focus. Well done piece of work. Other journos in gaming, could stand to learn from this article.
You have four months of a solid lineup of games hitting store shelves. You have the ability to market strong first party titles, and third party ones. If you are an Xbox 360 gamer, or PS3 one looking at the Xbox One. This is more than a good time to consider the console.
The Xbox One has not been doing bad. The launch went really well. Broke records, has outsold the Xbox 360 in a similar time frame. The PS4 has done remarkably well in comparison. Both systems have not truly h...
Naughty Dog's work is class personified. This article? Can we even call it an article? Nope...This is a case of an author with a hard on for the game, and was tired there has been all this talk about cloud & Crackdown 3. So he wrote a couple lines, and slabbed a bunch of pictures on us. Shallow, and cute at the same time...Why not give us some substance?
Here's the issue. Neither Microsoft or Sony have deviated from any plans to expand the consoles they have reach. Microsoft said they were working on cloud technology day one. They introduced Kinect 2, they have introduced Hololens, they are working on illumiroom, and are now in partnership with VR technologies like Occulus Rift having an Xbox One controller when it ships to consumers.
The point I'm making is that the conversation, and roll out strategy isn't even ...
I'm not going to say what Sony can and can't do. I will say that the Xbox One was built from the ground in a customizable way to take advantage of cloud technology. So we don't fully know how the Xbox One will develop the tech's usage. At one point they were talking about 4k gaming. I don't know if cloud technology helps with this, but it would be interesting to see how far along cloud tech goes beyond doing just physics in the cloud.
I don't hate or love the character Drew. I don't mind him wearing headphones. The whole world is wearing headphones small or big. I mean sheesh I just bought a new pair of beats by Dre headphones. It's not like the weirdest thing in the world.
Also there is a sci-fantasy element going on with the game and character overall. So I see how the headphones fit. I think his outfit could use some more work, as well as that bland looking shield.
Went out ages ago. The issue I see so far is that they are trying to replace the old Dante with a version who's not as cool. Which matters, because part of Dante's charm is that he's soooo cool he's on fire. This Dante looks like he belongs in "The Crow" universe...
All anyone has heard is how the Xbox 360 will fail this generation. Excuse, after excuse, after excuse on the reasons. At some point people are going to let it go. Speculation on people re-buying systems in a still messed up economy does not make sense. There are four Xbox 360 games in the top ten. Halo Reach has yet to surface, nor any other title really. So I guess we can expect to read, and hear the same rhetoric till Christmas. Good job MS, Xbox 360 has been a great system, and will go do...
